Congratulations to Ava Bates

Congratulations to Ava Bates who won the Astor Salver at The Berkshire by 1 shot. Playing the Red Course, she was 2 shots behind the leader after the first round but then had 69 on the Blue course to equal the lowest round of the afternoon to win a gross 140.

The Astor Salver for Ladies was first played in 1951 is one of two important Amateur events that The Berkshire hosts annually.

The other being The Berkshire Trophy for Gentlemen which started in 1946. Past winners of The Berkshire Trophy include Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle and one of our own past scholars, Ross Fisher.
