How are we Governed?

The Foundation is governed by a Chair and a board of six Trustees.

With a wide range of charitable and business expertise, the day-to-day operations are managed by the Foundation team. Each of the Trustees is committed to the Foundation, it’s cause and good governance and have joined the board to help deliver the Foundations’ purposes whilst contributing to its continued improvement.

They meet throughout the year with a yearly AGM to discuss, decide and review our strategies and policies. Our Trustees play a vital role for the Foundation working voluntarily to make sure we are doing all we can to reach and improve the lives of local young people through sport.

Patricia Leon

Patricia Leon has been a Member at Wentworth Club since 1995 and became Chair of the Wentworth Tennis & Golf Foundation in 2019. Aside from golf and tennis, Patricia’s passion is helping others to fulfil their potential either individually or as a team having been most of her life an Executive Coach and Psychotherapist. She is keen to help young people improve their lives and achieve their ambitions through sport.

Stuart Boyle

Stuart is the Director of Golf having joined Wentworth in 2013. He oversees the full Golf operation at the Club. He represented Scotland at both Under 16 and Under 18 level, and also played in the British Boys and British amateur competitions. As the face of our Golf team, Stuart enjoys playing socially with Members and occasionally gets the chance to compete in Professional events and Pro-Ams. Away from the Club, Stuart enjoys spending time with family and friends, and looks forward to the day his son is able to swing a club!

John Blanch

A PGA Pro, John joined Wentworth Club as General Manager in 2021 having spent his professional life competing and working abroad where he managed some of the biggest golfing complexes in the world. Having attended Bernard Gallacher’s golf school at Wentworth Club in his early years the Foundation is close to his heart and is something John is very proud of and feels passionately about.

Todd Patrick

Todd has been a Member of Wentworth since 2013 and was Club Captain in 2020. It was during his Captaincy that Todd became actively engaged in the Foundation and continued to be an intrinsic part of its activities, becoming a Trustee in the same year. He is passionate about youth development and mentorship and delights in being able to help our scholars with their transition as they leave the Foundation and embark upon their adult lives.

Michael McCloughlin

A keen golfer, Michael has been a Member of Wentworth Club for almost 50 years where he has been actively involved with the Foundation for 20 of those years both as a Trustee and also as a Junior Organiser where he assists our aspiring young golfers take part in internal competitions as well as against other Clubs such as St. Andrew’s and Sunningdale.

Jane MacLean

A keen tennis player, Jane has been a Member at Wentworth for almost 20 years. Having previously been Tennis & Health Club Captain for two years Jane is now Captain of the Ladies 2nd Team. With Janes’ own children and grandchildren having learnt tennis at Wentworth, Jane has taken an active interest in the Junior Tennis where she has an infectious enthusiasm and desire to help the Scholars on and off the courts as a mentor.

Dominic Elsom

Dominic Elsom is the Marketing Director for a Construction Equipment Supplier as well as Director of a Property Investment Company and Founding Partner of a Marketing Consultancy. Dominic has been a Member of Wentworth Club since 2002 and became a Trustee of the Wentworth Golf & Tennis Foundation in 2015 having taken a very active interest in the Foundation throughout his membership. Dominic passionately believes in the Foundation's principles and is committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives. He is also a Trustee of the Mabel Alice Rollins Trust.

Secretary

Keith Balson-Scales

Membership Manager at the Club and a PGA professional. Keith is integral to the Foundation, being the first point of call for our aspiring golfers and tennis players he is a constant support throughout their time at the Foundation both on and off the courts and courses.
